A woman’s four-year-long marriage ended by mutual consent on Wednesday after her husband spent years calling her barren.

Housewife Aminat Ibrahim told a customany court in Mapo, Ibadan, she was tired of her husband’s silent treatment insults.

She said her husband Salisu Ibrahim never mentioned having another child before she married him, saying she got to know of the previous child only after visiting her father-in-law.

Ibrahim agreed all the allegations were true but said he decided to divorce his wife after consulting with his father and step mother.

The court ruled in respect of their mutual decision to divorce, it could not impose on them.
