Chief Magistrate Court II sitting in Damaturu has arraigned or remanded Samuel Zamdai of Ramat Polytechnic, Maiduguri, Borno State for defrauding an IDP woman out of N50,000.
Police Prosecutor, Hayatu Musa told the court that the accused person has connived with one Aminu Yusuf of state ministry of Finance, Borno State (currently at large) and collected the ATM card of one Rabi Hikama an IDP from Buni Yadi, Gujba Local government area of Yobe state under the guise of helping her to withdrew money.
He said, in the process, the accused persons tactically exchanged her original ATM card with a fake one, which they later went to another ATM point and withdrew N50,000 from the complainant account, where you were arrested.
When the charge was read to the accused person, he pleaded not guilty
The presiding Magistrate, Hadiza Lawan Musa, granted bail of the accused person base on a motion filed by his lawyer and adjourned the case to July 27, 2017.
