An Area Court sitting in Centre-igboro, Ilorin, Kwara State on Monday dissolved the Islamic marriage between Sikirat and Abdul Zakariyau based on mutual agreement.
Delivering a ruling, the presiding Judge, Mr Toyin Aluko, said that since the two parties had conceded to divorce, there was no need to drag the issue.

Aluko ordered that the petitioner (Sikirat) to observe one-month Iddah (waiting) period as ordained in the Holy Quran before she can remarry.
