An Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, on Monday released one Shakor Ali (23), a farm attendant at L.O farms, Ido, Ibadan, who earlier pleaded guilty to stealing the company’s electric wire and a staff’s phone.
Ali was arraigned on October 23, on two-count bordering on conspiracy and stealing, to which he pleaded guilty.
However, the presiding Magistrate, Mrs Moyosore Atanda remanded him at the Agodi Correctional Facility Ibadan and adjourned the case until Nov.3, for review of facts and judgment subsequently.
But on Monday when the case was mentioned, the Prosecutor, Insp Elisha Tellang informed the court that the company came to withdraw the case. (NAN)

Tellang said that the company sent a representative, Mr Afeez Asiru, to request that the case be withdrawn because Ali’s family members begged the company to pardon him.
Atanda, therefore, withdrew the case and discharged Ali to go home. (NAN)
