A Federal High Court in Ibadan, Oyo State, has convicted and sentenced two internet fraudsters, Maiku Abdulakeem and Yomi Samson, to different jail terms.

The case was brought before the court by the EFCC, Ibadan zonal office.

Abdulakeem bagged three months after Justice P. I Ajoku declared him guilty of a one-count amended charge of criminal impersonation.

The convict, through his lawyer, had earlier approached the commission for a plea bargain agreement on terms that he would plead guilty to the charge and be sentenced to three months in prison.

The terms also included the condition that Abdulakeem returns to his victim the sum of $200 and also forfeits his Techno phone to the Federal Government.

Samson on the other hand was convicted and sentenced to eight months by Justice Joyce Malik.

He was also found guilty of criminal impersonation, the one-count amended charge for which he was arraigned after sealing a plea bargain agreement with the commission.
