A Kogi State High Court sitting in Lokoja has sentenced a 23-year-old, Yusuf Salawu, from Okene Local Government Area of the state to five years imprisonment without the option of a fine.
The court presided over by Justice Josiah Majebi found Salawu guilty of one count charge over an offence bordering on control of proceeds of crime preferred against him by the Ilorin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

He pleaded guilty to the charge in court.
In his judgement, Justice Majebi who decried some youth’s involvement in cybercrime warned other youngsters to desist from the act as the consequences are dire. He added that the judgment would serve as a deterrent to others.
