Court orders arrest of Kano APC chair

A Federal High Court sitting in Kano has granted an order for leave to immediately investigate, arrest and prosecute the Kano State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Abbas, over alleged threat to life, disruption of peace and hate speeches.

The plaintiff, Mahmoud Lamido, through his counsel, Bashir Yusuf Muhammad Tudunwazirchi, sought the arrest of Abbas for issuing a threat to his life via phone call, insinuating that he would kill him.

Justice S.A. Amobeda granted the order and adjourned till February 16 for the report of compliance.
