The Chief Magistrate’s Court, Damaturu, has ordered the arrest of Corporal Musa Idrisa of the Nigeria Police Force for refusing to appear in court over alleged rape of a 13-year-old JSS1 student of Ali Marami Day Secondary School.

The case was brought to the court by one Husseini Musa, a brother to the girl, who alleged that the corporal sexually assaulted the girl severally on her way to school.

Musa alleged that as a result of the sexual assaults on the girl she was now pregnant.

However, when the case came up on Wednesday, July 12, the accused was absent without a reason. In view of that, the Magistrate, Abubakar Lamba Maluri, issued an arrest warrant to the Commissioner of Police of Yobe State for the corporal’s immediate arrest and arraignment before the court on July 19.
