A Kano Upper Shari’a Court has found a housewife, Harira Muhammad, guilty of engaging in matrimonial affairs with two men simultaneously.

The court ordered her to commit to memory 10 portions of the Glorious Qur’an at a nearby Islamic School in Tudun Murtala.

Muhammad was dragged before the Islamic jury by Sagiru Shuaibu, who claimed to have married his wife six months ago but suddenly discovered that she was having affairs with another man, Bello Abdullahi ‘Yankaba.

The Shari’a Judge, Khadi Munzali Tanko Soron-Dinki, also ordered her to return the sum of N100,000 being dowry paid by the second husband, who unknowingly married her.

However, ‘Yankaba said the woman should keep the money.
