Court remands 14 over murder of 60-yr-old man

A Gombe State chief magistrates’ court has ordered 14 accused persons to be remanded in prison over alleged criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide.
The accused persons are Joseph Sarkin Noma, Danladi Sarkin Noma, Audu Sarkin Noma, Shanono Sarkin Pawa, Jibirto Lamai, Monday Diamond, Haruna Ingila and Tanimu Adamu.
Others are Jega Maisamari, Asabar Ibrahim, Alhaji Garkuwa, Joel Danbaba Michael, Yohanna Michael alias DJ, and Sule Yawina all of Bagunji village in Balanga Local Government Area of the state.
They are being accused of conspiring with Shedrack Aliyu Kwam and Joshua Michael, who are still at large, to allegedly kill Sale Galadima Waye (60) of the same village.
The court further heard that the accused persons also shot the deceased’s son, Shuaibu Sale Galadima, on his leg.
However, all the accused persons pleaded not guilty when asked by the court if the allegations against them were true.
Chief Magistrate Babayo Usamatu adjourned the case to March 21, for further mention.
