A magistrates’ court sitting in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, yesterday, remanded two persons, Adenle Mujeem and Olagunju Kamilu, at the correctional centre in Ilesa for attempting to kill a woman, Fatimah Suleiman.

The Prosecutor, Inspector Akintade Jacob, earlier told the court  that the accused committed the offence on February 2, 2021, at about 12:00pm at the Isosu area in Ede town.

He said the offence was contrary to and punishable under Sections 516 and 509 of the Criminal Code of Osun State 2002.

The accused pleaded not guilty and their lawyer, Sunday Abolade Ismail, urged the court to grant them bail.

The Magistrate, Ishola Omishade, thereafter remanded them and adjourned the case to February 17, 2021.
