A magistrate court sitting in Ado-Ekiti has ordered the remand of a 35-year-old Oluwole Michael, over attempted murder.
The police prosecutor, Inspector A. O. Bamigbade, told the court yesterday that there is cause to order the remand of Michael in a correctional centre having been suspected to have committed the offence of attempted murder on August 17, 2021.
He noted that the offence is punishable under Section 320 of the Criminal Code Cap C16 Laws of Ekiti State 2012, within Iyin-Ekiti Magisterial District.
The prosecutor added that he would send a duplicate copy of the case file to the Director of Public Prosecutor (DPP) for legal advice.
The magistrate, B. O. Oluwasanmi, ordered the remand of the defendant at the correctional facility and adjourned the case to September 24, 2021, for mention.
