A Magistrates’ Court in Osogbo, capital of Osun State, has remanded seven accused persons in prison for allegedly stealing phones.
The accused persons are Olorunisomo Gbenga, Dada Ayomide, Yisa Mufutau, Adeoti Saheed, Rasheed Suleiman, Kehinde Olarewaju and Badmus Kayode, all aged between 20 and 27.
The police prosecutor, Inspector Mustapha Tajudeen, told the court that the accused persons, December 31, 2017, used firearms to rob Mr. Azeez Waheed, Mr. Adedeji Ridwan, Mr. Giwa Olalade, and Mr. Fagbemi Isaac at about 2:30am.
The plea of the accused persons who are facing a six-count charge bothering on robbery, conspiracy and unlawful possession of forearms was not taken.
The presiding Chief Magistrate, Mrs. Fatimo Sodamade, ordered the accused persons to be remanded in prison and adjourned the case to March 28.
