A magistrates’ court in Kafanchan, Kaduna State, has ordered the remand of a 19-year-old applicant, Ishaya Mamman, for defiling a four-year-old girl.

The NSCDC prosecutor, Mr Marcus Audu, told the court that the victim’s mother, Cynthia Boniface, reported the matter at the corps’ office on July 26.

Audu said the defendant, a resident of Ungwan Fari, Kafanchan, lured the girl to his room and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her and was caught in the act by the victim’s grandmother.

The Judge, Michael Bawa, declined the plea of the defendant and directed the prosecutor to forward the case file to the Ministry of Justice for advice and adjourned to August 15. (NAN)
