The Chief Priest of Aduwawa Community in Edo state has been remanded in prison custody by an Evboriaria Magistrate Court for allegedly encroaching on the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) broadcast station’s land.

The accused, Prince Nosa Osadolor was arraigned on a 10 count -charges bothering on demolition of NTA Aduwawa perimeter fencing, forceful encroachment of its premises with firearms and causing fear among staff of NTA among other charges. 

He allegedly said the land belonged to the community’s shrine and that it was where the building of the priest was supposed to be built.

The Presiding Magistrate, T. O. Omoruyi remanded the accused in prison custody pending the legal advice from the Department of Public Prosecution (DPP) over jurisdiction of the court to entertained the case.

The case was adjourned to January 22, for mention.
