Court remands man for defiling mino

An Iyaganku family court sitting in Ibadan, on Monday, ordered that a 20-year-old man, Riliwan Omoboriowo, be remanded in the Abolongo correctional facility for defiling a minor.

The Magistrate, Mr S. H. Adebisi, did not take the plea of Omoboriowo for want in jurisdiction.

Adebisi directed the police to return the case file to the Oyo State Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) and adjourned the case to June 27.

Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp Gbemisola Adedeji, told the court that Omoboriowo on May 10, at about 3pm, at Opeyemi area, Eleta, Ibadan, defiled a 13-year-old minor. (NAN)
