An Ile-Ife magistrate court in Osun on Monday remanded one Ahmed Kolajo, 32, in prison for allegedly stabbing a man on the head.

Kolajo is also being charged with secret cult membership.

Magistrate Olukunle Owolawi adjourned the case until July 15, for ruling on his bail application.

Earlier, the prosecutor, Cpl. Olawale Odusina, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on June 28, around 04:15pm at Oja-tuntun, Ile-Ife.

Odusina said the defendant assaulted one Obihewu Agwu by stabbing him severally on his head and causing him near fatal injuries.

He added that the defendant also assaulted PC Omisakin Mayowa, attached to ‘A’ Division, Moore Police Station, Ile-Ife, while performing his lawful duty.

The prosecutor also alleged that the defendant disturbed the peace of Ile-Ife by being a member of a secret society called Eiye Confraternity. (NAN)
