An FCT High Court in Apo has ordered that a man accused by the police to have robbed another man and his wife at gunpoint to be remanded in prison.

29-year-old Aminu Momoh was arraigned before the court on offences bordering on armed robbery and unlawful possession of dangerous weapons.

The prosecutor, Insp. Ochigbo Ochayi, told the court that the offences were committed on July 9, 2017, when Momoh, at gun point, attacked and robbed Mr. Gybosumen Benard and his wife at No. 52, Mbano Road, Federal Housing, Kubwa.

Ochayi said the accused stole a Toyota Corolla car, a handset, a Samsung tablet and N180, 000 from his victims.

The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges when read to him and the trial judge, Justice Sylvester Oriji, ordered the defendant to be remanded in prison and adjourned the case to March 15, for hearing.
