Court remands sales boy for cheating

A Shari’a court in Kano on Friday ordered the remand of 25-year-old man, Abdulkadir Kamal, for breach of trust.

The defendant, who lives at Fagge Quarters, Kano, is facing a two-count charge of criminal breach of trust and cheating.

Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp Abdullahi Wada, told the court that a businessman, Sani Adamu, of Kurna Quarters, reported the matter that he gave his sales boy, Kamal, his Infinix Hot 10 phone valued at N75,000 to buy airtime for him and load it, but that Kamal disappeared with the phone and converted it to his personal use.

Kamal pleaded guilty to the charge.

The Khadi, Ismai’l Muhammed Ahmed, after ordering the remand of the defendant, adjourned to July 7, for summary trial.
