A Lokoja Chief Magistrate’s Court has ordered that a suspected Boko Haram member, Mustapha Adinoyi, be remanded in prison custody over terrorist activities and illegal possession of firearms.

Chief Magistrate Levi Animoku refused bail for the accused and ordered his remand at the Federal Prisons, Koton-Karfe, describing the charges against him as a “grievous and fearful one.”  He adjourned the case to Oct. 17.

The prosecution, led by Mohammed Abaji of the state Ministry of Justice, said Adinoyi, alias ‘Musty’ was arrested in the company of other terrorists now at large.

Abaji said Adinoyi’s handset and SIM card analysis revealed he had several meetings with Dauda Momoh (aka) General, a Boko Haram commander on the wanted list of the DSS.

He said Adinoyi also took the command to the house of one Abdulfatai where two single barrel guns, six SIM cards and other weapons were recovered.
