A high court sitting in Lokoja on Tuesday granted an interim injunction restraining Kogi state government from installing Mr Simeon Ujah as the new Eje of Olamaboro in Olamaboro Local Government Area of the state.

Justice Henry Olusiyi of High Court II, who gave the Enrolled Order also restrained Ujah from parading himself as the Eje of Olamaboro pending the determination of the substantive suit challenging his appointment.

In a Motion Exparte filed before the court by his counsel, Realwan Okpanachi Esq., the Plaintiff/Applicant, Chief James Akor, a traditional title holder of 3rd class status, challenged the appointment of Ujah by the state government.

He therefore, sought an order of interim injunction restraining the 1st Defendant (Ujah) from parading or further parading himself as the Eje of Olamaboro pending the hearing and determination of the pending Motion on Notice.

He also urged the court   to restrain the 2nd Defendant (Kogi State Government) from installing the 1st Defendant as the Eje of Olamaboro pending the hearing and determination of the suit.

The suit has Simeon Sani Ujah, Kogi State Government, Attorney General of Kogi State, Igala Area Traditional Council,         Olamaboro Local Government Traditional Council as defendants/respondents.

Olusiyi in his enrolled order held that the claimant/applicant had clearly made out a good case for his application to be granted.

The judge however adjourned the case to October 3, for hearing of the Motion on Notice.
