A Kano Shari’a Court sitting in Fagge ‘Yan Alluna of Fagge LGA of Kano State has sentenced a young man to two and a half years in correctional custody after he was found guilty of attempting to stab his biological father with a scissors for failing to give him money to spend.

Police charged him with insulting, threatening and possession of a weapon, to which he pleaded guilty.

The Judge, Khadi Nasir Ahmad sentenced him to one year imprisonment with a fine of N20, 000 and another six months without fine option as well as 40 strokes of the cane.
