An Osun state High Court sitting in Ilesha has sentenced a 30-year-oldman, Obafemi Kolawole, to life imprisonment for raping a 19 years old pregnant lady.

The State Prosecutor, Rachel Ojimi told the court that Kolawole

attacked the lady in her house and forcefully raped her. Rachel addedthat Kolawole also scrapped the hair in the private part of his victim and put it in her mouth.

Rachel stated further that Kolawole poured dry gin on the mouth of his victim to flush the hair through her throat into her stomach.

Kolawole was charge with a count of rape punishable Section 358 of the Criminal Code, Cap 34 Vol. II, Laws of Osun State 2003.

A medical report obtained from Ladoke Akintola University of

Technology Teaching Hospital Osogbo was presented as evidence of rape against the accused.

In his judgement, Justice AbdulKareem AbdulKareem found Kolawole guilty and sentenced him to life imprisonment.

The judge also mandated the prison officials to ensure that the

convict is receiving whipping on a daily basis as part of punishment for his offence.
