Court stops Labour from embarking on strike

The court further granted the AGF leave to serve the NLC and the TUC by way of substituted service in which the court processes in the matter would be published in some National Dailies.Other members of the three-man panel that sat on the matter were Justice B.B. Kanyip and Justice M.M. Esowe.

Attached to the motion ex-parte was an undertaken as to damages dated 6 January 2012 which was personally signed by the AGF, Mohammed Bello Adoke SAN in which the FG accepted to indemnify both the NLC and the TUC in the event that the ex-parte ought not to have been granted. The Court was informed that it has the exclusive jurisdiction to restrain the defendants from staging the strike. Further hearing in the matter has been adjourned till Thursday 12, January.
