Court to rule on video evidence in Nasko’s suit

Sarkin Sudan had filed the action challenging the conduct of the governorship primary held at the Idris Legbo Kutigi International Conference Centre, Minna on December 8, 2014 which produced Umar Nasko as the party’s candidate.
Sudan’s lawyer Chukwuma Ekomaru (SAN) told the court yesterday that the video was shot with a Samsung Galaxy camera during the press briefing by the aggrieved governorship aspirants in the state, including the deputy governor Musa Ibeto.
However, Nasko’s counsel Olajide Ayodele (SAN) argued that the items being sought to be tendered were produced by the witness for purposes of discrediting the PDP primary.
The suit has been adjourned to February 18 for continuation of hearing.
