Votes in a poll conducted by Daily Trust have revealed that majority of Nigerians disagreed with the move by the Federal Government to bring Chinese doctors in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic in the country.
Despite various reactions from Nigerians, the Chinese medical team arrived Nigeria on Wednesday with some medical supplies.
However, Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) had kicked against the move, suggesting that the federal government should empower Nigerian medical practitioners to fight the pandemic.
However, the federal government insisted on the move, stressing that the country needs every help it could get in its fight against the pandemic.
The poll which asked; ‘Are you in support of FG’s move to bring Chinese doctors in the fight against Covid-19 in Nigeria?’, had over 13,000 votes.
The poll was conducted on April 8-9 with a 24-hour life span, surveying 10,000 and about 4000 voters on Facebook and Twitter respectively.
On Twitter, 56.7% of the respondents disagreed with the move, 28% supported the move while some 12% said its none of their problem.
A majority of respondents on Facebook at 71% disagreed with the move while 29% agreed with the move.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC on Thursday said that there are 276 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria, with 44 persons discharged and six deaths so far.
