Governor Samuel Ortom has warned Benue residents not to lay down their guard against COVID-19 protocols.

Ortom who sounded the warning in Makurdi during the public presentation of the book titled ‘The World After COVID-l9 Panic’ written by Pastor Ortindi Baka, noted that it became necessary to remind people that the pandemic hasn’t phased out.

Represented by his Principal Special Assistant (PSA) on Media, Nathaniel Ikyur, the governor said plans are underway to establish a Centre for Infectious and Tropical Diseases in the College of Health Sciences, Benue State University (BSU), Makurdi.

Ortom commended the author for his decision to write on a fresh issue even as he urged members of the public to buy the book for further insight.
