A private enterprise, 4U Supermarket, has donated food items as palliatives to the FCT Administration (FCTA) to assist the poor and the vulnerable in FCT, as the lockdown order on COVID-19 continues.

The donation by 4U Supermarket, formerly known as Amigo Supermarket, was made by Barrister Hadiza Aliyu on behalf of the enterprise at an event held at the FCTA head office, Area 11, Garki, Abuja.

The items donated included foods stuff such as rice, indomie noodles, spaghetti, sugar and milk, amongst others.

The supermarket’s representative had said the gesture was its own contribution towards mitigating the hardship the lockdown has caused to communities in the FCT.

Receiving the donation, the Minister of State FCT, Hajiya Ramatu Tijani Aliyu thanked the management of the supermarket for the donation, describing the action as “patriotic and a commendable one”.
