The member representing Obokun/ Oriade Federal Constituency of Osun State, Oluwole Oke (PDP, Osun) has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to provide N5 billion as intervention funds to the state to help it tackle the spread of coronavirus.
In a statement on Sunday, Oke said with 22 cases already recorded in the state, there is need for collective efforts to stop further spread in it and the country in general.
Oke, who is the chairman, House Committee on Public Accounts, therefore urged Buhari to as a matter of urgency wade into the looming total outbreak of the deadly coronavirus in the state.
“I think that at this stage, Mr President should wade into the crisis at hand in Osun before it explodes and turns to a national calamity, mind you the dreaded coronavirus is no respecter of age, position, class or country,” he said.
