The Nigeria Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) has donated educational materials worth millions of naira to over 10 public schools in its host communities (OML 111) in Benin, Edo State.
The Managing Director of NPDC, Mr. Mansur Sambo, during the presentation, said it was part of the company’s social responsibility.
Represented by the General Manager, Community Relations and Security, Mr. Ugo Atugbokoh, he commended the host communities for the continuous support and hitch free operations in the area.
He pledged to sustain the initiative which, he said, has positively impacted the host communities.
He said the items donated included e-Library, tablets, science textbooks, notebooks, desks and chairs.
Also speaking, the Manager, Community Relations Department (CRD), Dahiru Abubakar, said 10 public schools,comprising primary and secondary, in NPDC host communities (OML 111), benefited from the items.
He said the gesture was aimed at improving educational standard in all NPDC host communities.
