 Professor Ishaku Yo’ila  Amapu of the  Department of Soil Science, Faculty of Agriculture and Institute for Agricultural Research, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, said the product has 100% absorption through leaves and stem and reduces the cost of fertilizer up to 70%
Amapu noted that the  major setback in using liquid fertilizers in Nigeria is access to appropriate equipment and water, adding however that the manufacturer’s instructions have removed this encumbrance as the fertilizer can be soil applied in addition to its being foliar-applied.
“Liquid fertilizers lend themselves much  more  readily  to  injection  into  the  zone  where  the  fertilizer  is  accessible  to  the  growing plant, and may be viewed as posing less environmental risk than dry fertilizers”
The fertilizer was specially formulated with bio-nano technology that originated from Taiwan, Malaysia Bumiputera products with modifications according to the local environment.
Alfa Life contains elements of macro and micro nutrients  – essential nutrients – available to the other chemical fertilizers such as aluminum, boron, calcium, carbon, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, molybdenum, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorous, potassium, sodium, sulphur and zinc  that are suitable for all types of plants.
Validation studies on Alfa Life Living Organic Fertilizer by the Department of Soil Science, ABU Zaria, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and the Department  of Soil Science, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka showed  increases in maize grain yield;  highest  at 1.5l/ha (200%  above control) and 10% above recommended inorganic NPK fertilizers.
