Samuel, who was to remit N5,200,310.29 which is the actual cost of the generators to chellarams, ended up remitting only N290, 500.00 and pocketed over four million naira. Police however told the court that investigation in the matter was still in progress. Chief magistrate Jamilu Shehu Suleman reserved ruling on the bail application of the accused person for October 29, 2009 while he ordered the accused to be remanded in prison custody.
