The Katsina State Commissioner of Police Usman Ali Abdullahi has warned social miscreants otherwise known as ‘Kauraye’ and hoodlums not to foment trouble during this festive period.

In a statement issued by the command, Abdullahi said the police in partnership with other security agencies were fully prepared to ensure the safety of life and property of the citizens before, during and after the celebrations.

While soliciting for maximum cooperation from the general public by providing useful information of suspected criminals and their hideouts promptly to ensure hitch-free Sallah celebrations, Abdullahi said the command was ready to continue to safe guard lives and properties.

Meanwhile, security has been beefed up in Katsina and environs ahead of the Sallah and the presence of President Muhammadu Buhari in the state for the festive period.
