A statement by George Wiltshire, NCF’s General Manager, said on Friday in Lagos that NCFNational Development Manager, Ewa Henshaw, gave the commendation during the two-day All Rounder Academy in Kaduna.

It said that the clinic was held on March 30 and March 31.

It recalled that the Kaduna State Commissioner for Sports, Abdulaziz Mohammed, appealed to NCF at the opening ceremony to fence the Murtala Muhammed Square Cricket Oval, Kaduna.

The statement said that Mohammed, who was represented by the state’s Director of Sports, Yakubu Haladu, also urged the NCF to provide playing equipment at the oval.

It said the commissioner congratulated the Chairman Kaduna State Cricket Association, Dr Yahaya Ukwenya, for his contributions to the development of the sport at the grass roots.

The statement also said that Ukwenya commended the resource persons, Messrs Okon Ukpong and Henshaw, who took the 20 participants at the clinic through the theoretical and practical aspects of the game.
