Five units of mobile policemen have been deployed to Katsina State to boost the operations of the state police command in the ongoing fight against crime.

The command’s spokesman, DSP Gambo Isah, told newsmen that two units have been drafted to Mai’adua and Daura local governments and the remaining three deployed to Malumfashi, Jibia and Funtua LGA’s respectively.

He said the deployed officers, who are from Kano and Jigawa states, are to be supported by an unspecified number of men of the command to carry out operations.

The PPRO said the police are doing all it can, with available resources to address crime in the state and called for collaboration from all stakeholders to ensure success.
