Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika has been branded “unprofessional” for choosing the matches he brings his ‘A’ game.

At the weekend, the Belgian champions Club Bruuge paraded several youngsters to barely win 2-1 at Westerlo.

Onyedika started the game, but hardly went past the second gear before he was replaced late on in the game.

Analyst Peter Vandenbempt insisted the youngsters were not the problem of Club Brugge against Westerlo.

“They were not necessarily the problem, but Raphael Onyedika who apparently got infected with the Skov Olsen virus. “I choose my matches, ‘t Kuipje (Westerlo home ground) is a bit too small for me, give me San Siro in Milan tomorrow…”, Vandenbempt told Sporza.

Vandenbempt rated Onyedika as one of the top stars in the Belgian top league, who has also shown class in the UEFA Champions League, but on Saturday “he gave away the ball too often. I think that is unprofessional”.
