Three men were yesterday arraigned before an Ogba magistrate court for allegedly belonging to a secret society and displaying firearms to cause breach of peace.

The accused – Ibrahim Gbadamosi Hamza, 23; Emmanuel Sylvester, 25; and Mohammed Jubril, 18  –  were arraigned on a six-count charge that included unlawful possession of weed suspected to be Indian hemp, membership of an unlawful society known as Blue Water Boys, and attacking people with guns, knives and cutlasses, thereby causing breach of peace at the Iyana-Oba community in Lagos State.

The police prosecutor, Abiola Adewale, added that the three men committed the offences on October 21, 2018 at about 16pm.

The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The presiding magistrate, W.L. Salami, gave them bail of N200,000 each, with two sureties each and adjourned the case till January 28, 2019 for further mention.
