The Plateau State Government has relaxed the curfew in Jos North Local Government Area from 6pm to 6am to 10pm to 6am, tallying with the current curfews in Jos South and Bassa LGAs.

The curfew imposed on the three LGAs was as a result of recent crises which led to loss of lives and destruction of property.

The decision to relax the curfew was reached after a meeting of the State Security Council (SSC) presided over by Gov Simon Lalong on Tuesday.

Governor Lalong also approved that beginning from Wednesday, September 8, the ban on the operations of tricycles commonly referred to as Keke NAPEP had been partially lifted and that operators could now operate from 6am to 6pm daily.

However, the ban on motorcycles within Jos and Bukuru metropolises remains in force.
