Customs comb Badagry creeks, intercepts N18.8m petrol

Operatives of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Seme Area Command, while combing the backwaters of Badagry on Thursday morning intercepted 75,000 litres of petroleum products valued at N19.8 million.

Speaking on the recovery, the Area Controller, Bello Jibo, who disclosed that the seizure was made in the early hours of Thursday, September 22, 2022, said that the products were estimated to be around 2,500 30-litre jerry cans with a Duty Paid Value (DPV) of N19,785,000.

He added that, “I want to seize this opportunity to warn the perpetrators of these illegal activities to stay off Seme border routes or continue to count heavy losses as my men are determined to frustrate them out of the area.”
