Apapa Customs Command has generated a record-breaking N2.635 trillion in revenue from January to November 2025.

This represents a 24.32 per cent increase over the N2.4 trillion recorded in the same period of 2024.

This is even as authority in charge of the Seme Command of NCS disclosed that the Command’s revenue generation also witnessed significant growth, with a 117% increase in annual revenue, from N7.166 billion in 2024 to N15.598 billion in 2025. 

The command’s revenue growth can be attributed to several factors, including improved compliance, automation, and closer collaboration with port stakeholders. 

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has implemented various initiatives to enhance revenue collection, such as the use of technology and data analytics to monitor and track imports.

The Customs Area Controller for Apapa ports, Comptroller Emmanuel Oshoba, while presenting the Command’s annual revenue profile put the figure at N2.930 trillion, which according to him represents an impressive increase of N573.3 billion over the N2.357 trillion collected in 2024.

Oshoba explained that the figure represents a 24.32 per cent growth in 2025, and that the performance reinforces the Command’s position as the nation’s leading revenue hub.

Similarly, the Seme Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), says it achieved a remarkable milestone by posting a record N3.628 billion revenue for the month of December 2025. 

This feat is the highest monthly revenue recorded by the Command highlighting the effectiveness of the various reforms and strategies implemented by the Comptroller-General of Customs.

The Command’s revenue generation has witnessed significant growth, with a 117% increase in annual revenue, from N7.166 billion in 2024 to N15.598 billion in 2025. 

Superintendent of Customs (SC) Tunde Ayagbalo, Public Relations Officer, for the Command, in a statement highlighting the Command’s revenue profile for the year 2025, stated that the Command’s efforts to promote trade facilitation, improve revenue collection, and enhance stakeholder engagement have yielded positive results and set a benchmark for other Commands to follow.
