The Customs Controller in charge of the Federal Operations Unit (FOU), Zone A, Hussein Kehinde Ejibunu, on Friday said officers of the unit intercepted some quantity of ammunition which were concealed under bags of cassava flour at Iseyin area of Oyo State.
The Controller said the traffickers of the arms fled and abandoned three of their vehicles when they sighted officers who were drafted on patrol in the area.

Ejibunu said 37 suspects were arrested within the last three weeks, noting that six of the suspects have already been charged to court while 12 others have been granted administrative bail.
According to him, besides stemming the tide of smuggling in the zone, the unit stands as police providing the much needed security to other Customs Area Commands across the zone.
