Operatives of the Nigeria Customs Service attached to Seme Command, have intercepted 11 parcels of substance suspected to be cocaine allegedly concealed under religious books.
The team, while on patrol along Seme-Badagry expressway, also arrested a middle-aged man in connection with the seizure said to be worth N3.917 billion.
It was learnt that the suspect was conveying the illicit drug in a Ford Transit bus and was heading towards Agbara when he was arrested.
The Customs Area Controller, Seme Area Command, Bello Mohammed Jibo, who confirmed the arrest and the seizure, stated that officers and men of the command were conducting stop and search along Seme- Badagry Expressway when they sighted the bus.
