The Federal Operations Unit Zone B of the Nigerian Customs Service has successfully intercepted an Ala container truck with 37 bales and 4 rolls of Nigeria Police camouflage uniforms along the Lokoja-Abuja Highway.
The Zone also reported the arrest of four suspects in connection with the seized items on the 15th of December, 2023, at about 1400hrs.
The Comptroller of the Federal Operations Unit Zone ‘B’ Kaduna, Dalha Audu Chadi, at a news briefing on Thursday, stated that operatives acted based on credible intelligence, leading to the arrest of the vehicle conveying the items.
“Considering the nature of the items and their potential for nefarious activities by unscrupulous elements, the seized police camouflage uniforms, the 4 suspects, together with the means of conveyance, were all handed over to the State Director, Department of State Security (DSS), Kaduna State Command, on Wednesday, 27 December, 2023, for further investigation and possible prosecution,” he said.

He added that the items including the suspects were handed over to the DSS in the spirit of inter-agency collaboration and having obtained necessary approval from the Comptroller-General of Customs.
