At Fairleigh Dickinson University, she helped develop a Smart Intrusion Detection System that outperformed traditional defenses by learning in real time. Powered by deep learning, the system could adjust to new attack patterns on its own, setting a benchmark for intelligent cybersecurity tools. Her role extended beyond algorithms, she fine-tuned the system to detect subtle anomalies in live environments, a critical capability now shaping enterprise-grade security platforms.

She went on to design a risk management framework that changed how developers build secure software. Rather than bolt security onto a finished product, her model baked it into the software lifecycle from the beginning. In response to the absence of accessible forecasting tools among small businesses, she developed a regression-based system that connects directly to POS systems and forecasts sales with precision. At Fidelity Investments, Faith’s work has been instrumental in strengthening internal and external defenses. She led security compliance for life insurance systems, aligning them with strict industry regulations. She also developed NUDGE, an automated risk score alert system that enabled the organization to respond to threats in real time, reducing lag between detection and mitigation and eliminating blind spots that traditional methods often leave exposed. Her efforts in third-party risk assessments are particularly crucial in a world where vendor vulnerabilities can cripple entire networks, as highlighted by the recent CrowdStrike incident. Her focus on zero-trust principles where no user or system is implicitly trusted, provides a blueprint for defending against the very kind of cascading failures that disrupted global infrastructure.

Beyond the firewall and the codebase, she is also a scholar and educator. Her book Insights in Cybersecurity remains a go-to resource for learning host- and network-based intrusion detection systems, offering accessible yet in-depth coverage of tools like OSSEC, Snort, and Kibana.
