A commercial cyclist, Bulus Ayuba, has been reportedly stabbed to death by suspected motorcycle snatchers at Machadna community in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

A resident of Machadna, Ibrahim Aliyu, said the incident happened on Sunday at about 7pm when the cyclist picked two passengers from Paiko on his way to the community.

He said the two suspects, who pretended to be passengers, asked the cyclist to take them to Machadna village after agreeing to pay him N4000.

He said after agreeing on the price, the cyclist picked the suspects, adding that while on their way, some distance to Machadna village, near a cashew farm, one of the suspects pulled out a knife and stabbed the cyclist.

He said around 9pm, some vigilantes who were on their way to Dobi, discovered the cyclist lying by the roadside in a pool of his blood.

He said one of the vigilantes, who identified the cyclist, took him on motorcycle to the hospital in Gwagwalada, where he was confirmed dead.
