The  All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) has affirmed Sheikh Naziru Dahiru Bauchi as its governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections in Bauchi State.

This followed a special delegates congress held Wednesday in Bauchi.

The exercise was supervised by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission( INEC), with delegates drawn from the 20 local government areas of the state in attendance.

In his acceptance speech, the governorship candidate, thanked delegates for the confidence reposed in him, describing the endorsement as a major honour.

He pledged to prioritise education,security, economic,self reliance and healthcare  if elected governor.

Earlier State Chairman of the Party Alhaji Ibrahim Dantalle assured that the Party as one of the oldest Party in Nigeria will fill candidates that will be acceptable to people. The Chairman said the  gubernatorial aspirant of the Party voluntary decided to step down for Naziru because of his quality, capacity, leadership skill and advised Naziru to carry them along .He presented Naziru to the people as the Party gubernatorial candidate which the people accepted with one voice.
