Twenty years ago the founders of the Media Trust set up a company and one thing they had in mind was to break the monopoly of government media.

Malam Kabiru Yusuf and his co-travellers set up a newspaper which could compete with those from the southern part of Nigeria.  The paper has continued to grow from strength to strength, birthing more publications. It is indeed a thing of joy to see where Daily Trust is today and I commend the management and staff of the paper for a job well done.

From a rented apartment, Media Trust is now a proud owner of a magnificent edifice, with three printing outlets in Abuja, Kano and Lagos. The pioneer staff of the company must be commended for laying a solid foundation. They played a significant role in the success story of the paper.  The paper is today, one of the leading newspapers in the country. 

Daily Trust has succeeded where others failed. Once again, more grease to the elbows of staff and management of the company.
