The death has occurred of Alhaji Umar Aminu, father to Daily Trust’s reporter in Katsina State, Habib Umar Aminu.
Aged 81, late Aminu died on Sunday at his residence in Rijiyar Zaki, Ungoggo local government area of Kano State.
Late Aminu was earlier admitted at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH) where he stayed for about a month undergoing medical treatment. He is survived by one wife, four children and many grandchildren.
He has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
