A member of the House of Representatives representing Takai/Sumaila constituency of Kano State, Shamsudeen Dambazau, has described the Minister of State, Petroleum, Timipre Sylva as a symbol of true progressive politics.

In a statement issued in Abuja, Dambazau hailed the minister for ensuring that APC won the governorship election conducted under a conducive atmosphere that saw to the defeat of the PDP.

He expressed optimism that the feat achieved in Bayelsa was the beginning of good things for the state.

“For proving yourself as a true progressive; delivering Bayelsa State, a hitherto opposition stronghold to President Muhammadu Buhari during  the presidential election, creating a conducive political environment in APC Bayelsa State chapter; a fundamental factor that led to the victory in the just concluded gubernatorial election by our great party, you are a true definition of a party man.

“I, therefore, join other men of goodwill to salute Bayelsans for believing in you, but above all, for opening up the region for the birth of progressive and democratic ideals,” he said.
