Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State cast his vote at his Kukawa Ward polling unit, Maiduguri metropolis at 10:22am today while calling on residents to come out to vote to damn the early morning scare caused by about 11 bomb explosions in Maiduguri.
He said coming out massively to vote would send a significant message to the insurgents that the people of Borno and the entire Northeast are determined to continue with their lives in spite of their threats.
The Borno state Police command had issued a statement after the bomb explosion claiming the bombs were from security forces.
